so I read the home page but it is not clear to me how I as a parent would create an immersion program for my child at home so he can learn to speak spanish? English is my first language and I have studied some spanish but do not really know how to create sentences and proper grammer. My son is just 2 and we have done some stuff with him these past 2 years but realize talking in spanish is different than knowing words in spanish. where we want to be as a family is to be able to converse in spanish. We want to be bilingual.

      Hi, Carmen
For parents that are not completely bilingual it can be quite a challenge to talk to their children in a new language 24/7, if that is what you mean. I am not proposing at all to start that way (that is, full time). Instead, it makes much more sense to focus on the quality of the interaction, even if it is a few minutes at a time.

When using the word “immersion” I refer more to my goal of helping people use fluent language than to the length of the interaction. It is always easier to build up from small sessions. The important thing is to maximize the experience so that you get the most value for your effort.

Now, parents who are learning the language along with their kids will need lots of support, and that is my goal with the resources that I create.

Hi, all I want to say is thanks. I’ve bought all the apps from Apple Store of ana lomba. And I just like them so much and these are among the best for my eight years old daughter. Thanks a lot for the great works. She spent lot of time on these stories and her favourote figure is the mouse in the Red Chichen. She just loves that. And she has learnt many words from these stories of the English and Spanish. By hte way, I’m from China.
Simply one question, when would it be Possible for us to be able to see some new books from you? From Apple app store?
Thanks and have a good time.

Many thanks for your kind comment and I’m glad your daughter likes the apps. I hope to produce a few more titles in the coming months. And if things go super well, then I may even launch a second collection of stories that I’ve been wanting to publish for a long time, very different to the classic stories :)

      All the best,
      Ana

    Hi Ana
When I saw an app with your name on it, I knew it was going to be good! I have been home schooling my boys for six years now with the goal of Spanish class every day. We have been very successful and added French last year. Your materials are fabulous. Thank you.

One question. Why did you use the simple past in La Petite Poulle Rousse app? Since this is intended for second language learners, it seems odd that the more spoken tense wouldn’t have been used. I have the book with cd of Le Petit Chaperon Rouge and you used the imperfect. This was very helpful as my kids have memorized it! I will however take advantage and use La Petite Poulle Rousse as a way to introduce the simple past.

Thank you for all your great work. It is the best available.

    Regards,
    Ceci
